Welcome to Flood Middle School

We are one of two middle level schools in Stratford, Connecticut. Our 600 seventh and eighth grade students represent a wide range of cultures, abilities and interests. The Flood staff is committed to the middle school concept. We have 5 academic teams where the teachers have common planning time. Our exploratory courses include Band, Chorus, Experiencing Music, Computers, Art, Family and Consumer Science, and Project Lead the Way (Technology Education). We believe that integration of subject matter helps students to make connections between the courses they are taking and the world around them. Bringing the Pillars of Character into all that we do helps our students recognize the importance of being caring, respectful, trustworthy, and responsible world citizens. Students are at the center of our program, and efforts are continually made to take them from where they are to as far as they can go! Our theme for the 2010-2011 school year is: "Falcon Pride: Catch It!" - Jack Dellapiano, Principal
Flood is participating in the citizenship program called Make Your Day!
